Sunday Sevens -23rd July

Time for another Sunday Sevens – the brainchild of the wonderful Nat at Thread and Bobbins,  devised for bloggers to share seven photos of their personal week.

Summer finally arrived this week. On Tuesday – our hottest day – it was already 23 degrees at 8.30 in the morning.

The sky was a beautiful blue, but the moor too exposed for my old boy even that early.

Instead we chose the shady paths beneath the trees.

Of course the BBQ came straight out at the sight of sunshine.

By Wednesday the sudden rise in temperature was getting to me. This is what I saw when I looked down at my feet as I got out the car to walk Hicks.

On Thursday I didn’t feel so bad about my dress sense when we watched a TOTP 1982 rerun…

And because I know that now you’ve seen that pic you’ll want to see the whole thing…

On Saturday I had a lovely day out with a group of friends at Cowslip Workshops’ Summer craft fair – where my friend Caroline found her twin…

And we had some really unusual ice creams. The top scoop is rose, cardamom and almond and the bottom kea plum…

Hope you’ve had a great week!

  1. What do they say about mad dogs and Englishmen?

Aah! The 80s. What were we on? I couldn’t bear to press ‘play’ as the memory is still only too vivid. I don’t remember the string vest revival – some things are best blotted out.

  2. Unusual Ice cream flavours! I would love to try them. I love what you have done with your shoes. 😉 I once did the same with some boots, except I soon realised, as one had a higher heal than the other! X

  3. I have to confess I used to love that song when I was young. I remember always picking on the juke box but what was that string vest about. I too have suffered in the heat. Great ice-cream flavours.

  4. Wow, a very hot week, thank goodness for ice creams. The flavours sounds unusual, and I bet they tasted great.
I am today sending you greetings from a lovely cold wet windy and very wintery Johannesburg. Yay. it was about time. I am absolutely loving the colder weather and making the most of it!! 🙂
