The pace has finally got to me. You may have gathered I’m knitting these as I go along and today’s is a disaster, but no time to rip and knit again. So just to prove I did it, here it is and for a bit of fun, what the heck do you think that white blob in the middle is supposed to be?
I won’t kid myself that anyone wants a pattern for this, If you want a 19th day Santa sack, I haven’t done a plain stocking stitch one, yet, so let’s just pretend that’s what this one is and knit up as a picture one with no picture.

If you knit up any of the Santa sack patterns, please do share pictures of them. The Dartmoor Yarn Company Ravelry page is here, and we’re here on Facebook.
Happy knitting!
Lol it’s a bell, of course! Take a deep breath, Bekki! You can do this!!!

Thank you lovely. Was attempting to finish a Christmas present yesterday too, so a wee bit of panic setting in š

Ooops, I thought it was a tree – than I realised Salpal is right š Keep going, you’re doing great!!
And it’s a new pattern challenge idea, where the knitter has to figure out the one row that will make the bell really appear š

My daughter thought it was a tree too. Great pattern challenge :-). In fact I’ve had a few paid for patterns that have made me figure out the right way to knit them rather than what’s written on the patter š I was trying to sort it out on a piece of graph paper this morning, as I thought I’d spotted the one row – don’t like to be beaten – but still on sure it’s going to be enough š¦

This is just fab, and if I squint a bit and imagine it’s green it looks like a Christmas tree. My mum always bought fat bushy ones, so I imagine it’s just like my mums! Keep em coming, you’re doing a great job xx

Aw! You mean it’s a sad one that everyone (except your mum) leaves behind š Thank you xxx

It’s not honest, she prefers a fat bushy one! š

Certainly not a disaster Bekki!!…It’s just as beautifully knitted as the rest for a start š and I think the intrigue of having a little Abstract pattern thrown in the mix is brilliant!!! I can see it as the back of Santa’s furry hood up on his head above red shoulders š

Aw! Thank you. Yes, I like the idea creating it was an act of genius, but you may be being a wee bit kind š xx

Not at all!! I am so in awe of your knitting skills and I think even a quirky little Santa sack is just brilliant, not many more to knit now, but keep up the good work š

I first thought a big bell but then I’m wondering if I’m seeing the shapes of angel wings?
I took my finished sacks to spinning/weaving guild party today as well as the fair isle one for our ornament exchange, shared your site to those interested.
Keep up the good work.

You were right with your first guess – although maybe if I knit it upside down I’ll have solved my angel wings problem š Thank you for sharing my site. Much appreciated xx

I thought it was a tree, too , until I read the comments and realised that, of course – it’s a bell! Thanks for sharing your mistakes with us, too, to let us know that none of us are perfect!!

Thank you. I did hesitate before I pressed publish, but I so hate how as adults we feel we have to be perfect – especially when we’re experienced etc. It puts so much unnecessary pressure on ourselves and others pressure. As you say, none of us are perfect. Funnily enough I had a conversation yesterday with my daughter about how most people put only the ‘good stuff’ on Facebook making others feel they have inadequate lives and having seriously negative impact on some people. So I do feel being ourselves ‘warts and all’ is very important. I’ll get off my soap box now š
