Joining in again this week with Sunday Sevens – the brainchild of Nathalie at Thread and Bobbins.
Warning: Dog heavy post…
There’s always something to bug you. This week it’s been yodel hell. I lost an hour and a half of my life on the phone to yodel and gained several grey hairs, because their tracking website wouldn’t let me in and ended up on my third life for delivery, with the prospect of a two hour drive to the depot to claim my parcel. DPD on the other hand delivered my new printer first time in a 1 hour time slot.
But my challenges are small compaired with those of others and there’s plenty of good stuff…
Sunday we went to Mawgan Porth for a walk on the beach..
It was very windy…
Back in the car park we spotted one dog chauffeuring another…
Lovely husband has been away all week, so we’ve kept the romance going by emailing each other pictures of our tea every night. Since I’ve gained a few pounds over Christmas and I’m on my own, it’s been stir fry every night…
I’ve been threatening to start a knit and natter in the village for the last 18 months. I finally bit the bullet in December and asked the hotel if they would host it. They said yes and on Thursday our first Knit and Sip group met with ten people braving the cold to attend…

On Friday Hicks and I went to the bottom of Lydford Gorge. I know some people think that I think the sun shines out of his a*** and I think this photo proved it does 😉
And finally, my Sunday Sevens wouldn’t be complete without a dog in a puddle picture. But this week I have for you a dog and husband in a puddle picture.
Hope you’ve had a great week!
Bless Mr Hicks with his little ears blowing in the wind.
I just love the photo of him in his own pool of sunlight – see how I put it more elegantly than you 🙂 – but I did laugh out loud at your way of expressing it.
Love the dog chauffeur too.

Mr Hicks should have his own blog! He’s a star! It was good to see the proof of where the sunshine come ftom😂 and how cool that dogs can take themselves out and about 🤣🤣. Well done on your knit and natter group! I bet this is the start of something really big xx

My Hicks sure looks like he’s had fun this week! Well done you for starting your knit & sip group! I think you got quite a good turnout too. I’ve been to a couple over here and there’s never been more than 4 of us!

I feel for you on the Yodel front – waiting all day for a delivery only to miss it in the ten minute school run features frequently in my life. Well done on starting up the knit ‘n’ sip group; sure to be great fun. Good to see Hicks making the most of life, too.

It looks like your knitting group is off to a good start! I hope it works out well for you! Hicks looks like he had a great week, plenty of water. And a spot of sunshine. 😀

Thank you. Yes, lots of sunshine, but I think Hicks could do with it a wee bit warmer on his arthritis – but not too much.

I can understand that! Maybe he needs a heated floor to welcome him when he gets home? 🙂

Funny enough, he’s rarely on his bed – even in the middle of the night when the bedroom’s chilly he’s often only on the thin rug.

is the rug closer to you than the bed? He’s just keeping watch. 🙂

I would agree, but I put his bed by our bed. He’s never been big on beds.

What a funny guy. I LOVE my bed and found it very hard to leave it this morning, lol. My Grandmother once had a dog who liked to sleep on my bed, head on my pillow. If I got up in the night to go to the bathroom, I was doomed to sleep at the end of the bed. 🙂

Aw! Poor you. Hubby went out early this morning and I was determined not to fall asleep again, but I did and had weird dreams about all these different people coming into my bedroom to wake me up. See odd dog, odd owner 😉

lol it was just your brain trying to help you wake up. I had a dream the other night that one of my coworkers completely lied about where she went on vacation (she went to France) just so she could avoid helping me write a grant. This was over a year ago that she went on vacation and left me with the grant, mind you. Brains are funny things. 🙂

Maybe it’s time to forgive her 😉

Hi Arlene, Glad you’ve found me again 🙂 and enjoyed the post. Thanks for commenting. My boy’s 13 in May, so doing good to still be paddling in icy cold water.

Awesome week, despite the delivery troubles. I feel your pain, deliveries are not always as we would hope.
And yes, I agree with you, the sun does shine from our furry babies *** 🙂 I think the very same of mine. Best is, you can now actually prove it.
Have a great week and enjoy.
