I’m always delighted when people share pics of what they’ve knitted from my kits or with my wool. I’m also very grateful that they’ve taken the time to share their pics. This week I’ve had two I can’t resist a blog post about.
First was this gorgeous shawl knitted in the Shetland/Ryeland blend…
… then there was a report of a sheep loose in New York π
What a beautiful shawl!

The shawl is rather gorgeous – love those blues!
If the sheep hasn’t already got a name he could be ‘Sting’ – an English sheep in New York – sorry, I’ve been on a ‘ladies lunch’ and had a glass (or 2) of wine.

Worse than that, why does spell check think think Dartmouth more important than Dartmoor?!

I am not sure! Maybe the creator of the lists went to Dartmouth College?

Ok I was slightly alarmed at reports of a loose sheep, excellent to see that it was a knitted one rather than a living one! And such a lovely shawl too π

Ha ha! Loose sheep are a daily occurrence in my part of the world – but fortunately a lot less traffic too.

Ooh. My shawl is famous ! The designer is Ambah O’Brien, her patterns are fun and very wearable. And of course, the yarn is perfect – it is so soft and snuggly after blocking,. The purple especially is gorgeous, with shades and facets like a precious stone,

Hi Carolyn. Thank you for saying all those lovely things about the yarn and thank you again for knitting such a beautiful shawl with it. As for famous, I’m indebted to you for giving my yarn it’s five minutes of fame in your shawl π Thanks again for making something so lovely with it. I’ll take a look at Ambah’s patterns.

I am totally in love with the shawl and the colours of the wool. Just stunning.
π And it about time some sheep have some fun in NY. Looks like it was a great day out there in the Big Apple.

I love the colors and the texture of that shawl – think it would be a bit beyond my (current!) knitting skills, but would definitely love to try it someday!

I’m sure you’ll get there. Carolyn did name the pattern and designer in her comment, so you can always find it later π
