Project progress has been pretty good since I last posted a progress post a couple of weeks ago…
Having made a small miscalculation, I discovered I need to cut out 516 pieces for my quilt, not 480. But I still had them all cut out by yesterday evening…
Then I realised the larger squares were for half square triangles, so needed cutting in half – which makes 556 pieces. Hopefully I’ll get those done today…
Knitting progress has been good…
The Good Vibrations shawlette is growing…
I’ve finished both fronts on my cable cardigan – just need to steel myself to get on and sew it up…
The Fakery Curl is only two rows from completion…
And I’ve cast on a new project…
So all in all, I’m very pleased 🙂
You have been busy! Well done- you should be very pleased…😊❤😊

Thank you. It’s very satisfying to be coming to the end of two big projects – although I’m really putting off sewing up that cardigan!

Ooh! HSTs eh? Get you and your quilty talk already. Bon courage with joining them all up although you’ve got all the right tools there for accuracy. So have I but it doesn’t always seem to work 😦

Ha ha! I’ve tricked you with all that knitting – I have made a quilt before and been on three courses, but several years ago. As for accuracy, not my forte – right tools or not – fingers crossed it all joins together 🙂

I’m looking forward to watching progress of that quilt! And you and your multi-tasking knitting – my god, I’d be all over the place with forgetting what I was supposed to be doing. You must have a very good memory! The Good Vibrations and Fakery Curl are my favourites, though I’m loving the colour on the latest piece started! 🙂

Thank you. Hopefully not to immodest to say, yes I do have a good memory – mind, I can hardly miss which piece I’m on when I’m working on the Good Vibrations 🙂 I bought the yarn for the one I’ve just started ages ago from Blacker’s bargain bin, and there’s only 700g – so whether it’s going to be a sweater or a cardigan and how long it’s going to be will be determined as I go along. 🙂

Doing what you are doing will keep that memory sharp! And the blue will keep us all on our toes to see what becomes of it.

Sewing up is always the worst bit, I agree. I can’t wait to finish the actual knitting and then procrastinate for far too long about the sewing up. Wow, the shawlette is fabulously bright!

With you all the way there – I still haven’t sewn a stitch on it 😦

Wow!…Do you ever sleep?! lol So much on the go, I love projects, but mainly only one at a time, you’re doing brilliantly with everything! What an amazing colour for your newest make 🙂

I think it’s a bit different with knitting having more than one project on the go – because it’s so portable I have different knitting for different situations. I love that new make colour loads too – which is why I couldn’t resist buying it from the bargain bin, even though there wasn’t as much as I would have like there to be.

I have good faith in you that you will make the best fit with the yarn 😉

Hopefully. It’s just a shame my arms mean I need way more wool than most for the sleeves. And I don’t do wooly short sleeves. Am knitting a sleeve first then doing more calculations. If the worst comes to the worst I’ll make it smaller and give it to Littlest – she has long arms but is dead skinny too.

Yes, it’s feeling good – although I’m still putting off sewing up the cardigan. Hate sewing up 😦

Thanks. It’s such a simple knit I’ve been doing it all over the place. Unfortunately though I took it to the pub the other night and it’s so heavy now and all that repetitive garter stitch made my thumbs hurt 😦 Am just transferring it onto a circular and doing no more than one row intermittently each day.

I love it when a project is so portable!!
Oh no! I’m SO sorry to hear that! It sounds like you’re doing exactly the right things to take of it though. Best wishes for quick healing and rapid progress! 💖

Thanks. You know what it’s like, you know you should be giving it a rest, but knitting is so irresistible.
