The Friday before last I visited The Knitting, Stitching and Hobby Craft Fair at Westpoint. It was really just for the outing and the only thing I had on my list was to buy some beads to make stitch markers. But when I stopped at a bead stall I saw some really cute beaded angels. Neither I or the friend I was with could resist.
I bought a selection of suitable beads…
… and a snowman kit just for good measure…
Last Friday afternoon I put them together. They are all sightly different, but basically three types. Angels with a clear dress…
Angels with a pearl dress…
And angels with a fancy swirly dress…
I love them all, but have one small challenge. I can think of more people I’d like to make them for than I have angels.
I also made the snowmen…
I’ve got homes for all of these too π
They are cute!

Eek! All those teensy tiny little fiddly doodahs. Very cute though – will the angels be stitch markers or are they too big, I can’t tell.

Thank you. No, too big and too many sticky out bits if they weren’t.

True – sticky out bits are very irritating on stitch markers.

Sure are. I have some lovely hedgehogs my eldest bought me, but they’re practically unusable π¦

I have some of those bead caps used for the swirly dresses – which I love and would never have thought of making. They are all beautiful but there’s something about an angel in a swirly dress ……. π Maybe when I’ve finished some of the 10,000 projects swirling around inside my head I might have a go π

They are lovely aren’t they. Know what you mean about 10,000 ideas – and now it’s you that’s mentioned it, I’m thinking ‘could I make a swirly angel dream catcher?’ π

So sweet, no wonder you bought them, and above all well done on making them so quickly afterwards. My mistake is always to buy too much at these craft shows, put things away and find them years later. I love the swirly dresses best too!

Thank you. I think that’s why I got on with them so quickly, because if I hadn’t I knew they may never see light of day. I really should have taken LH’s Christmas sweater thought, since now I’m on the picture, I can only knit that when he’s not around. The swirly dresses are fab π

They are adorable. I love the angels, and especially the snowmen. Super cute.
And they all have homes already, how awesome. π

I like those – and they don’t look too awful to make. π I love a good bead store. So many things to inspire! I bought all the young women in the family snowman earrings one Christmas – similar to yours, but topped with a black sequin and a square black bead. Very simple, very adorable. I might have to go find some things to make…

Yes, they are nice and easy. Go one, have a go. Your snowmen sound great, but mine are too big to be earrings π¦

I just might do it. Our local bead store closed, but there is one a couple of hours away. Next time I am there, I will look for the angel parts. π
