Joining in again this week with Sunday Sevens – started by Nathalie at Threads and Bobbins – sharing seven (or so) pictures of the week beyond the blog.
Last Sunday we went of a walk along the River Okement. It’s several years since we’ve been up there and we’d forgotten what a scramble it can be in places.
On Monday the tree surgeon removed a dangerous bow from one of our trees, so LH spent a happy afternoon with his chainsaw dismantling it…
Meantime prepared for Stitch Fest. There was sewing…
…and I got to play with my new wool winder…
But it wasn’t all hard work. On Wednesday we did the pub quiz with our lovely next door neighbours and won for the fist time in months!
And on Friday I visited The Peter Tavy Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers annual exhibition. Here’s a few of my favourite exhibits…
A gradient knitted bag…
This shawl was cobweb fine. A real work of art, but I’d be terrified of wearing in and ruining it…
Optical illusion weaving. Not sure if you’ll be able to see the two different ways the blue one appears close to and further away, but fingers crossed…
And finally, I couldn’t resist taking a pic of this cutie…
Hope you’ve had a great week!
Those optical illusion ones are pretty smart aren’t they I think it’s very clever the way the ducks turn into fish! And of course Miss Bunny is very cute!!

Thank you. Couldn’t believe the quiz win – sounds like you were on the same wavelength as my neighbour, so was sure we were going to do it.
Hope you’re having a lovely week. I’m mad busy trying to get ready for drafting show at the weekend.

I love the quilt on the right, it looks South American, and I think the little cutie will be inspiration for you. Lovely walk, and congrats on the pub quiz.

Thank you. It was the shoes on the cutie I really loved. Maybe it’s time for sheep with shoes 😉

At last. We really aren’t that dim, but there’s this really clever couple that win every other week – they only don’t win every week, because they brought in a rule that winners have five a five point hit on their score the week after they win!
