Joining in again this week with Sunday Sevens – started by Nathalie at Threads and Bobbins – sharing seven (or so) pictures of the week beyond the blog.
Sunday last week was Mothers’ Day in the UK. We were planning to see Lovely Littlest, but a last minute change in circumstances – nothing to do with her – meant I couldn’t see her 😦 Still I received some Lovely flowers from her and from Lovely Eldest.
In the afternoon we went for a walk around Mr Hick’s favourite woods. This was one of his favourite paddling spots…
A walk on the moor on Monday, but we couldn’t see much…
Complete change in the Weather Tuesday – our first day this year that really felt like spring. I spent the afternoon in the garden, clearing the rockery of the overgrowth that happened when I abandoned it last year…

On Wednesday we won the pub quiz again. I don’t know what’s happening, we only won once all year last year!

At Knit and Sip on Thursday I worked on the shawl collar of the pineapple cardigan. I’m making it up as I go along. Unfortunately I made up it wrong and had to rip it out and start again…
On Saturday we popped into Robertson’s for lunch…
On the way home it started to snow, but not for long…
Hope you’ve had a great week!
Thanks for dropping by,
Bekki
Tuesday was a lovely day here as well. Shame about the rest of the week…
Did you get much snow last night?

A few inches, but the worst is supposed to arrive here starting in a hour or so, and lasting for the rest of the day.

I’ve seen some photos from dartmoor today. Looks deep. It started snowing again this evening here. I wonder what getting to work is going to be like tomorrow…

No sure anyone here but the farmers will be attempting to go to work this morning. Apparently A30 shut all the way from Bodmin to Exeter!

We did have more snow here on Monday. Half our staff were sent home because of the weather. Thankfully it’s thawing out today

Oh no! Thawing fast here – although there’s a lot to get rid of!

Aw – a poignant photo of one of Hicks’s favourite wallowing place. Lovely memories though.

Absolutely! How well we do, very much depends on who sets the quiz 🙂 xx

So glad you weren’t effected by the snow this weekend. Your flowers are beautiful. I love walking where my dog enjoyed his walks, so many happy memories everywhere. I bet the sight of muddy puddles reminds you of your wonderful Mr Hicks. I did love his exploits. We have snow here again, one day I shall be out again in the garden…. have a good week.

Ha ha! We were and still are. It all arrived yesterday afternoon and overnight. Knee deep in the stuff and major roads close. Watching the national news, I think we were the worst hit in the South West.
Thank you. So much reminds me of Mr Hicks and he was always here for me on mothers’ day, even when the kids weren’t 🙂

A lovely week with lots of love and lovely memories. Awesome.
You are on a roll this year, your garden is getting extra attention early already, and you are rocking the pub quiz, well done.
The lunch looked delicious, and I hope you are all warm and dry and keeping out of any last snow storms. 🙂
It is raining here this afternoon, and tomorrow is a public holiday. Perfect timing. 🙂

The garden does deserve the attention – it got rather abandoned last year.
Snow storms have passed, thanks, and snow melting rapidly – although my neighbour has just told me there is more coming in a couple of weeks 😦
Sorry to hear it’s gone and rained on the days you want it. Great that you have rain, but not great timing 😦 Enjoy your day off tomorrow anyway xx

Glad the snow has passed and is melting.
Lovely duck weather here today, forecast for the next 2 days at least. Lots of rain. 🙂 I am even wearing boots today and have no issues wading through the puddles in the carpark at the office. 🙂
Have an awesome rest of the week.

Sounds all feast or famine. Enjoy your wading and please stamp in a few puddles for me (and Hicks) 🙂

Lol. I definitely did when I left yesterday. Nice large ones in the carpark when going home. Rainy today still. 🙂

You won the pub quiz again? Well done indeed, and long may this lucky streak continue! You must have mixed feelings when visiting Hicks’ old haunts. I am glad to say that I can now think about Fifi without crying, if not talk about her as yet. You spoke too soon about the snow……

I know – lucky is definitely the word.
Yes, mixed feelings is right. Glad you’re feeling things a bit easier with memories of Fifi. I seem to be the other way around – I can usually talk about Hicks without crying, but I often cry sometimes when i think about him for more than a short time.
