Welcome to my Sunday Sevens : A post were I share seven (or so) photos of my week away from the blog. Sunday Sevens was invented by Nathalie at Thread and Bobbins.
Our cold spell continued from last week into Sunday with and overnight temperature of -9.4 degrees…
… and a lovely snowy walk in the morning…
Monday the temperature rose so quickly it was warm enough for a spot of gardening…
Lovely Husband had gone away to visit his parents and on Tuesday he send me a guest entry Sunday Sevens photo from a garden he spotted on his travels…
Meanwhile at home I washed the play mobile that had a got a bit sticky from little people playing with it. Found this rather disconcerting person – suspect one of my lovely daughters equipped her when they were here and found it waiting for a wash in the utility…
With hubby back home on Wednesday, Harry took us both for a lovely sunny walk…
Wednesday afternoon Harry had his first trip to our vet (for his annual vaccination). As some of you know Mr Hicks was a frequent visitor to the vets, so it was quite an emotional afternoon, but lovely to be welcomed back like royalty by all the wonderful staff that work there.
Thursday we took Harry for a (very wet) walk at Meldon reservoir – another walk we haven’t done for ages…
No pub quiz this week, but we did go to the golf club for their annual quiz on Friday evening…
On Saturday we had our first visit to the beach with Harry…
Followed by a trip to the beach-side restaurant for fish and chips…
Hope you had a good week.

You’re not supposed to put them in your boots!

Some weird people up north to keep that bush in their hedge. Quite a talking point though when we first saw it. Hope next week is warmer and drier for you. xxx

Hello Bekki from wet and snowy California. YES, we are getting a huge snowstorm along the coast and it certainly came as a surprise. We were all ready for spring.
I see you and I garden with the same lovely green container. I got mine as a gift from New Zealand years ago and just can’t garden without.
Love your Sunday Sevens. Makes my morning.

Hello! Lovely to hear from you. Snow in California. I’ve never hear of that. Is it unusual for you to have snow? From what I know you’re terribly short of water, so not a lot of rain, but assumed that meant very little snow too.
The green bag is what we’re given for garden waste recycling over here.
So glad you’re enjoying my Sunday sevens π xx

Harry looks like he knows where to go and what to do when he gets there. I bet you are loving being out there with a dog again! And so nice of the vets to make a fuss of him – and you π I like the way that cafe presented your fish and chips, with a nod to the old newspaper wrapping. Very cool! And they look nice too – mmmm, it’s 6.45 in the morning and I fancy some crisp fish and chips…….

Harry is amazing. As you know I loved Mr Hicks to bits, but he did have some serious challenges when being walked – the dog trainer said he was special needs and the longer I have Harry the more I realise just how difficult things were with Hicks. Plus his allergy meant that I spent the first 15 mins or so of every walk stopping him pull fur out of his sides – the adrenaline rush of heading out on a walk seemed to set that off. It was hard work and although I wouldn’t have traded my time an experiences with Hicks for the world, it’s lovely to walk an ‘easy’ dog.
That is very cool and so lovely and right next to our all time favourite beach π We’ve been going there since before our girls were born.
So did you have fish and chips for breakfast? π

Mr Hicks had a very good life with you and he probably sent you Harry to make sure you could totally enjoy an easier dog experience. I did not have f&c for brekkie – but there is always dinner π

Well whether Hicks sent him or not, the way it fell that we got him it was definitely meant to be.
Go on have some fish and chips! xx

He is. Mind I still need to eat less chocolate despite the increase in exercise.
