I’m pleased to report I’ve finished the top of the jungle baby quilt and sandwiched it up with batting and backing fabric…
Next step: Quilting.
I’m thinking I’ll stitch in the ditch between all the patchwork pieces and echo the pinwheels in quilting across the jungle fabric squares. I’m not going to quilt the thin jungle fabric and polka dot boarders, but the red one is a wee bit too wide not to quilt. Any thoughts on what I should do with that?
Look forward hearing what you think π

It’s looking good. No suggestions – just confident it will look fabulous π

It depends how fancy you want to go. If it were me, I think I’d quilt diagonal lines in the red border about 2 inches apart which would echo the diagonals in the pinwheels. If you want something heavier, you could go over the diagonals in the opposite direction making a crosshatch effect. If you want to be more fancy, what about quilting simple little palm tree motifs?

Funny you should say that, I do have a book of motifs and I think there’s a palm tree in it.
Straight lines sound like the sensible option – but when did I like like sensible?
I take it wobbly palm tree are a thing? π
