Welcome to my Sunday Sevens – a post where I share seven (or so) photos of my week away from the blog.
This week has been very VERY wet. They may not be enough photos showing that, but believe me, it has been very VERY WET.
It was raining very hard when we attended a Golden Retriever met up in Cardinham woods on Monday.
There were only about a dozen goldies, but Harry still had a ball.
The rain kept me out of the garden, so I got on with some overdue clutter clearing. Here’s the first set of bags waiting to go to the charity shop…
On Thursday we went down to Perranporth to meet up with our niece and her family who were down for a holiday. It wasn’t all plain sailing on the beach…
But despite the weather we found a dry patch to enjoy making sandcastles…
In dryer circumstance I had a trip with my crafty friends to Craft for Crafters at Westpoint on Friday…
I was very sensible and only bought one frivolous purchase; half a meter of this lovely fabric…
I also bought some card blanks…
… a huge (12″) embroidery hoop, some even weave and a lifetime’s supply of embroidery needles…
But the purchase I was most excited about was my drawing pencils, sketch book and eraser – more about in the coming week.
And finally, because I can never take too many photos of Harry, a pic of Harry out for our walk yesterday…
Hope you’ve had a great week.
Until next time,
Bekki x
We too have had a mostly wet week. I admire the beach spirit. So many wonderful craft supplies, I wonder about the drawing…

And another one this by the look of it. Wonderful beach spirit or only the British are daft enough. Hopefully posing today about the drawing xx

To be fair we’ve had a dry summer. Thank you. As I said to Cathy, hopefully posting about the pencils today xx

I love the picture of brollies on the beach. And it’s so sweet that you go on golden retriever meet ups. As much as I would love to take Hugo on a black lab meet up, for some reason he doesn’t like other black labs much. Hugo is perfect in so many ways but not that. X

The Goldie meetups are such fun and Harry enjoys see all the other goldies so much – not a cross word between them. I think it’s the breed – goldies love other goldies. They love other dogs too of course, but they do play in a different way with their own breed xx

That first photo is just so British – dog walking in the pouring rain, somebody defiantly in shorts (I think it might be you) , lots of colourful rain gear and even a baby in a papoose thingy. Mind you, the beach photo would come a close second in a quintessentially British category. 🇬🇧
We appear ro be in an endless summer here – it was too hot to sit out in yesterday 🇫🇷
Why no Ninny the Numpty kit?

Yep! Me in shorts. Plenty warm enough and so much easier to dry when the aga’s off. The lady with the baby is in the army, so having a baby and a 9 month old dog is a breeze to her – i would have had a nervous break down with that combination.
Excuse my ignorance, Ninny the Numpty? I even googled and found nothing.

Ha ha! I though it might be those, but when I looked on my phone at my blog this morning I thought I’d missed that photo out. Weird. Think I must still be traumatised from seeing that cat cushion.

Ooh looks like a lovely if damp week. My goodness so much rain lately and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop any time soon…
Looking forward to seeing what happens to the pencils and sketch books. I’m looking forward to having some time to actually do some art again this winter.

Thank you. Yes, very very wet – you’ll soon be able to sail straight from your front door.
As i said previously, really looking forward to having you back 🙂

A soggy week! But the craft event looked fun and dry.
Glad you were able to play on the beach!

It certainly has been soggy, we keep getting the remnants of all these hurricanes – but at least they’re just down to mostly rain by the time they reach us – although they are causing flooding in some parts of the country.

Well, then it probably is nice and warm… when we get those remnants (only one so far) we get lovely warm air with them. I hope it slows down soon!

Not particularly warm. Must lose heat over the atlantic.

Hmmm, I suppose that’s a good thing in general, it probably also weakens the storm.

It certainly does, which is the most important thing.
