I seem to have managed a month’s absence. No better reason than that life’s been busy and, if I’m honest, I got fed up moaning about the rain. During that time the world seems to have been tipped on it’s head and we’re now all facing uncertain times. So in the spirit of keeping calm and carrying on, I’m returning with a Sunday Sevens of a few random photos from the last 4 weeks.
Sometime in the last few weeks we had a sprinkling of snow…
Amongst a lot more rain we’ve also had the odd dry day where I seem – if my camera is to be believed – to have only visited the moor…
You might might be wondering where Harry is in all this. The answer is running around too fast for me to take a photo. Although if you look hard you’ll spot him in the last one.
At home he’s been a bit easier to focus on..

And finally an upside to all the rain…
I’ve never seen so many buds/flowers on this. I’ve no idea what plant it is. Can anyone enlighten me?
I hope this blog post finds you well. Stay safe.
Until next time,
Bekki x
My retriever Archie used to always lie at the top of the stairs. We guessed it was the place he could see all comings and goings, nosey bugger that he was! Although I believe it is a protective thing as he stayed there overnight as well

Hello. My Mr Hicks used to do that and I think you’re right it is protective, But half way up on the smallest stair does seem a like extreme nosiness on Harry’s part 🙂

I can’t find him in the photo🙈 you’ll have to draw round him and post it next Sunday🤣 Glad you’ve had some dry days, they’ve been few and far between here too. ☔️ x

Okay, I’ll get my red pen out. The sun’s out today – looking like you’ve picked a good week to have off.

PS I’ve no idea what the plant is but can’t wait to see it in full bloom 💐

Me too. It’s going to be fab if it doesn’t get so heavy it pulls the trellis off the wall.

I’ve shown your photo to the resident gardener – aka Mr. Tialys – and he suggests your plant could be a Clematis Armandii.

Wow! Thank you! Just goggled pics and it absolutely is 🙂 I’ve been wondering what it is for the last 7 years. Nice to finally find out. Thanks again 🙂

Hugo likes to squeeze himself in the smallest places. He’s tried to get in the cats bed before now 🙂

😂 Bless him. Harry hasn’t shown such a tendency before now, but Hicks always used to squeeze himself into the resident collie’s bed at his holiday home.
