Just popping in with a quick post to show you the pen and watercolour dragonfly picture I created following one of Louise De Masi’s beginner tutorials.
A very easy one, but I really felt it really helped me get to grips with the wet in wet and I think it’s very pretty π
Until next time,

Very nice! A bit of cling film drying too?

I do like a bit of cling film drying – If I could work out how to do it, every picture I paint would have it.

Once youβve scrumpled your cling film on the wet paint the trick is to leave it long enough for the paint to drift but not until itβs totally dry or it will stick. Have a play.

I have actually done the paint thing with cling film in the past several times and always left it until paint is completely dry and it’s never stuck. Maybe it depends on the type of paper? you’re using

Could be. Have you done the salt trick too?

I have – but not keen on it. I think it kind of stops being water colour when you add things like that – so probably something I nee therapy for π
